Datagate, Maduro: ricevuta richiesta di Snowden per asilo in Venezuela

CARACAS – Il Venezuela ha ricevuto una richiesta di asilo da parte di Edward Snowden. Lo ha reso noto lo stesso presidente, Nicolas Maduro.

“Ci è giunta una lettera con la richiesta di asilo”, ha detto alla stampa. Snowden dovrà “decidere quando volerà qui” in Venezuela, ha aggiunto Maduro.

Durante il fine settimana, il governo venezuelano aveva precisato che attendeva in queste ore una richiesta formale per l’asilo da parte dell’uomo chiave del ‘Datagate’.

Venerdì scorso Maduro aveva fatto questo passo nei confronti di Snowden, il quale ha già d’altro lato inviato una lettera al Nicaragua con la stessa richiesta, hanno reso noto domenica i media di Managua. Il terzo paese ad aver offerto l’asilo a Snowden è la Bolivia.
